Tesselaar Tulip Festival day trip [30.09.2007]

Went to Tesselaar Tulip Festival last sunday with YAD 3 Melbourne. They organise a tulip farm day trip which include a BBQ lunch @ Silvan Reservoir Park which is nearby da farm. 12 of us from so call city joint da trip. 11 of us from Swinburne, such a big group huh? Yea... So glad they went and hopefully they enjoy the trip.

Also thanks to YAD 3 who organise such a wonderful trip! Thanks heaps!!!

My 1st Mt Buller Skii trip with FGS [29.7.2007]

My 1st skiing trip @ my buller is org by FGS Yad.

Overnight @ Cynthia's place cz its too early to gather and no train starts dat early. Gather infront da temple @ 4.30am. Many ppl still clubbing along Queen St. 1st time i saw them so crazy and wearing a lil tindy shirt during winter! Wondering they will feel cold.

After that, headed to Mr buller. We did our morning chanting in da bus. Rest for awhile, had our breakkie in da bus too. We stop @ Yea for toilet break. Then continue heading to Mt Buller!

Yea Finally i saw SNOW! Yes, my 1st time to touch da snow! I noe i noe for u guys is kinda outdated but for poor lil me reli my 1st time! Heheheh.... So excited!!!

Tried to skii too! Directly fell down once i 1 2 get down frm da lift! No one teach me how 2 land once i get on da lift! Shit!

After that, we stgarted to learn how 2 skii and i fell down dono how many thousands times! Huh... Finally get to know how 2 skii in a simple way, like know how 2 move myself, know how 2 BREAK! Da most important thing! And turn abit like lean abit left or right...

Quite a nice experience! Wanted 2 skii again if i got da chance! Hehehehe... Enjoyed!

Thanks for those who taught me how 2 skii! Thanks for spending ur precious time for me!

South Melbourne Beach + my 1st Smith St tour [27.07.2007]

During my winter break. Got nothing to do and went to many palces. This, went to South Melbourne beach with Catherine. Its cold and windy but we enjoyed it!

After that, we went to Smith St, da legend of Smith St in Melbourne is many factory outlet there and selling cheap stuffs like Nike, Adidas, Fila, Quick Silver etc...

We saw some awesome show and planned to buy it coming saturday. I mean dat week not this current week. Now, i bought it d... wore for so many times.

ANZBYC Rotorua & Taupo trip [Day 2]

The next morning, we packed our things and prepare for the trip! After checked out. We headed to the Rotorua Lake for our brekkie in a cruise on da Rotorua lake. Seems so cool ya? Yea it is! But after all it wasnt like wat i expected! Hmmm... Da view not dat superb but still nice!After the brekkie, we headed to the palace of Maori Queen. Great scenery but we all seems to be tired and no mood. Hehehe...
There is a hot spring pool there that the tour guide said it is 126 degree! So its very hot and close for public, why? According to the driver, there was an accident occurred so they close it!
After that, we went to da redwoods forest! Nice place but kinda WET cz jz after rained. We had a short walk der and feel the nature of redwoods.
Then we headed to the famous blubbing mud pool and it doesn turns out as i thought. I thought it will be something like i search in da net. So.... Hehehe.... Reality oways not as nice as photograph ya? But at least i saw it with my own eyes although its not so MUDDY.
Y the mud is boiling? According to da driver cum tour guide, its bcz New Zealand's ground is kinda HOT. So some palces there are hot spring pool or thicker is the bubbling mud! And New Zealand doesnt has SNAKE! So Rachel should like this place ya? Cz i heard snake scare of the rotten eggs smells which is sulfur in chemistry.

After that we headed back to the same buffet Chinese restaurant for lunch. Uhhh... Same thing again ay? Yea! Same....

After that we were heading back to Auckland! Hmmm... Thats fast! 2D1N and dats all ay?

Everyone slept in the bus and the driver woke us up when we reached Hamilton garden! Its a nice garden with some diff theme's garden!After Hamilton, there was a toilet break in dono which town and then all the way back to Auckland! Thats all for my Rotorua & Taupo trip.

When we back to temple, we just on time for dinner after settle down our luggages. And Christchurch people are going back too! Hmm... Thats fast! Everyone is say Bye to each other.
Then we took our bath in one of the room up der. After that, we went to a store room nearby our dome, Anthony and Kah Wai were there too, we chit chatting there and they played piano there.

The next morning me and Jing Yi help to prepare the brekkie in da kitchen and we had our brekkie with all the remaining people and reverends . Had a great time and after that i assigned to clean up the dried leaves in the court yard. After that i still have time and i went to da tea house and offer myself to them. They were so busy and Jing Yi was there to help too. Untill they ask us to have our lunch @ tea house and i realize its not early d, i need to prepare myself to the airport d! Thats fast! Not willing to go back... But... still need to go!

After packing all my things, saw Abbess and say good bye to her. Melissa said the uncle wait me @ the front shrine so i went there with Melissa. Melissa asked me whether not willing to go back, i said YES! At that time i feel so sad and my tears almost fall. @ the front shrine, say good bye to everyone and Melissa told me not to feel sad and that moment i feel so sad and i cant control my tears, i hugged Melissa and say good bye to everyone. In the car, i controlled my tears and tried so hard to chat with the uncle. Dont want the uncle feel i m sad too. Hehe...

After checked in, I still have plenty of time to do some last minute shopping! So faster use all of my remaining NZ dollar to shop some souvenir for my family and friends! In the airplane, it is not as nice as the flight wen i heading to Auckland, its smaller and du not hv any individual TV in front every seat. Hmmm... Boring.During the meal, i saw the old lady that sitting beside me was drinking the cute lil bottle of wine. After she finished, i asked her whether she can gv me da wine bottle as a souvenir since i dun drink. She was so kind and gv me da bottle that she drank and also the bottle that her daughter drink, after that, she drank another bottle and its diff brand, she gave that to me too. I feel so happy cz FYI, i am a rubbish collector that like to collect bottles. Hehehehe...
Finally back to Melbourne! Hmmm.... Miss New Zealand sooooo much! But need to back to reality!

And one thing need to mention bout New Zealand is, everything there are regarding KIWI! Its like Koala and kangaroo in OZ. Kiwi bank,
kiwi souvenir products,
kiwi chocolate,
kiwi spring water too!
Huhh.... So i m back from KIWI LAND! Hehehe...

And also special thanks to Evonne my house mate, she lent me her luggage cz i dun hv any small luggage. Without our help, my trip wont be so perfect! Thanks Evonne! So glad to have a house mate like u! Love ya!

ANZBYC Rotorua & Taupo trip [Day 1]

I know i know, u guys have been asking me for 'N' times bout my Auckland pics. Here i post da Rotorua & Taupo trip pics 1st.

After the ANZBYC camp, we went to

Rotorua & Taupo for 2D1N [10.07.2007 - 11.07.2007]

Early morning i woke up @ 5am cz i need 2 find Keong to help me and Lindy transfer our photos frm our cameras. Due to we took all of the performances videos last nite. If we cant transfer, means i cant take much photos during the trip and it will be a pity. Keong the photographer is leaving by 6am to the skii trip. So we need 2 get up early to meet him up.

Night b4 that i asked many people bout the SD card reader. Really hopeless... I asked Gabe for it and he has a card reader but unfortunately his mini SD thingy stuck in it... So... Cant help me though... And we ask n ask n ask, and the final answer was Keong has a card reader! So we started a Keong hunting but we found out he went for a rest at that night, so.... thats y we need 2 get up early 2 meet him out.

Luckily we met him and he was so kind to help us transfer the pics although its abit rush, ended up my pics have to keep with him cz not enuff time 2 transfer to my pendrive due to da bus goin to leave d. Anyhow i m so happy dat i could transfer my pics.

Around 8am, its our turn 2 get ready @ the front shrine. After saying good bye 2 the Bodhisattva, we depart to Rotorua.It tooks us about 4 hours to reach der.

We stopped @ a small town call Matamata for a short water break. After dat, continue our journey to Rotorua!
When we getting nearer and nearer to Rotorua, we started to smell some weird smell. It smelles like rotten eggs! Ewww.... Really.... weird! And we need 2 smell that smell for 2 days man! URggg.... Disgusting!

When we reached Rotorua, direct its LUNCH TIME! We felt so..... turnoff with da rotten egg smell. But after awhile, you will feel better and get use to dat smell.
Anyhow it was a nice lunch, its a buffet lunch with chinese style food. I manage to taste my 1st NZ ice cream der and it was superb! I like the Kiwifruit ice cream! Yummy!

After the lunch, we had a short walk @ the town. Nothing much to buy or to shop. Follow by the Agrodome farm tour. We watched sheep performance, sheep dogs and sheep sheering which i feel kinda sorry for the sheep.After the show, we managed to sit on a truck kinda thingy for a farm tour. We saw and fed many animals like sheep, cow, lama, ostrich, deer, boar. Had a great time there especially when lotsa sheep around u, feel so happy to be with them. Hehehe
We also tasted the honey and some of us drank the Kiwi wine.

After the cattle farm tour, we went up to da hill to see the whole night view of Rotorua.
Supposingly we should have our dinner @ the restaurant up der but the tour guide said unfortunately on that day der is only us one tour heading there for dinner. So they dun accept any tour meal der. Wat a pity ya! Really a nice restaurant!
After that we went down to check-in @ our hotel. Its not wat i expected but still acceptable. After settle down our stuffs, we brought our towel out cz there will be a SPA thingy later on. And no one inform us to bring our swimming suit man! Urgggg.... Wat we gonna do? Its so.... Speechless!

Before the hot spring spa, we went to have our dinner. Its a chinese restaurant again and the restaurant mainly selling deer PRODUCTS like everything with DEER! I was like wtf? Then i saw a plate continue with another plate of deer infront of me. Although there were some vegan dishes which not really vegan... And the driver said he dono we got some vegan in this group? Wat? I tot we oledi filled up the form and stated there?After dinner, we direct went to da public hot spring place. And we kinda shocked cz there are only few UNISEX pools! Oh man!! Means we have to bathe with guys? SHIAT!
Moreover i din bring my swimming suit and need 2 rent for it! And the big problem is!!!! The swimming suit is western style!!! Wat do u mean as western style? No pad in front and i feel unsafe!!! I m not the kind that is sooooooo open minded on dis kinda thingy and situation! Ew.....

I kinda struggle inside the changing room whether 1 2 change the swimming suit and go out... Lindy and Shuo Mei decided not to change but Jing Yi oledi changed and asking me to change...

After like half an hour! I decided to change! And walk out! Lindy and Shuo Mei blessing me while i walking out... >.<|| I quickly put my things in the rack and faster jump into the pool so dat no one c me. Phew... Luckily... I m in the pool. The next thing i need 2 worry is when i get up frm da pool. Its another embarrassing thingy.

Dont think bout it 1st, lets enjoy the hot spring since i m in the pool d.... After half an hour in the pool, i feel kinda hot d. So i asked Jing Yi whether want to go up since its not early d. She said we still have time mayb we can stay longer. After awhile more, i feel i had enough and i told Jing Yi i am goin to prepare myself.

So i quickly climb up frm da pool and quickly grab my towel and wrap myself up. Once i reached the changing room, Lindy and Shuo Mei ask me how was it and i say i feel very warm. But dey said dey were very cold inside da changing room, i grab my cloths and went into a changing room to change my cloths.

Suddenly i felt dizzy and i remember i had dis kinda feeling b4 for several times but din faint b4. So i thought it will be fine for dat time. So i just lean against the wall and tend to rest for few seconds. After that i felt like i was back to the Auckland Temple and heard the bell jingling. Then i heard someone knocking the door and i open my eyes, my head was pain and i found out i m on da FLOOR!!! OH SHIT!!!!Oh man!!! How come? I quickly stand up and grab my cloths and open the door, i saw everyone was asking me: Are you ok? I answered YES YES I m good.... I thought how come everyone stood infront of da door and asking me dis question.

Then Lindy and Shuo Mei asked me da second time, are u ok? I answered yea i m fine. Why?

Ya i asked why?

Why everyone asking me the same question, wats going on with me? So i asked Lindy and Shuo Mei wat happened to me? And only i know i fainted in the changing room just now! And when i opened da door, actually they were planning to kick the door and rescue me out! Phew... Luckily i awoke at dat moment, if not it will be super duper embarrassing . Imagine i m on da floor and ppl drag me out from da changing room and i m in da swimming suit! Oh goshhhh!!! Cant even imagine it!

Shuo Mei went outto get a cuppa water for me, they said i need 2 drink more water since i jz get out frm da pool. I might dehydrated cz da pool is kinda hot and i might lost too many sweat inside the pool and din drink more water to balance it. This all happened unconsciously!! U dun even realize u can dehydrate like dis. Hmm.... So next time drink more water right after u get off frm da hot spring pool or spa. Really a good lesson! After rest in da changing for quite a long time, i felt i am fine and reli can change my cloths, i went for a short shower and changed my cloths.

After that, we gathered @ da cafeteria of da spa. I had my 1st hokey pokey ice cream that Tiffany recommend me before i come to Auckland! She said its superb and i feel so...

I did some research in Wikipedia, and it says like this:

Its really taste great and its only cost me NZ$2! Cheap right? I rmb i cant get any ice cream @ this price in Melb. Dats y i din buy any ice cream like this here. Hehehe...
After the ice cream, we went back to da hotel and guess what? We have a 7-eleven in the hotel and the food and drinks were FREE! Yea its true! See this pic! Its room 7-11!
And inside the 7-11 room, there are many special facilities like a small kitchen that with a small fridge(ya i noe every room does) and also microwave, a sink, a mini bar area, and a special room! Its really different with our room.

And what about the food and drinks? Yea! There were many food and drinks and provided by the temple as snacks, like rice dumplings, soft drinks, chips etc...

So we all need to eat the dumpling b4 we sleep cz we cant keep da rice dumplings long.
Me, Lindy and Shuo Mei had our rice dumpling in the room and after that we chat for awhile then Lindy back to her room and sleep! Good night!
